Maria Silva Prado Lessa

Doctoral professor of the area of Portuguese Literature at the University of São Paulo and researcher collaborator of CLEPUL - Center for Lusophone and European Literatures and Cultures of the University of Lisbon, working on the project "Critical Contexts and Editorials of Portuguese Modernism and Surrealism". Has a degree in Letters from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2014), and is a Master (2017) and Doctor (2021) in Portuguese Literature by the same institution, with research internship at the University of Porto, having benefited from research grants from CNPq, CAPES and FAPERJ. He held a post-doctoral internship in the Graduate Course in Vernacular Letters of UFRJ, for which he developed work focused on teaching poetry reading in the post-pandemic period. Since 2018, she works as a teacher of Portuguese literature in undergraduate courses in Letters. His research is dedicated to modern and contemporary Portuguese poetry, privileging an inter- and transmidial and interdisciplinary critical approach, with emphasis on surrealism and the work of Mário Cesariny. Author of the book Mário Cesariny: a obra ou a vida (2022), published by Documenta and the Cupertino de Miranda Foundation in Portugal, and organizer of the book O navio de espelhos: antologia poética de Mário Cesariny (2024), edited by Bazar do Tempo.
