2022 - Current Figurations of exile in 20th century Portuguese Literature II

Description: Starting from the hypothesis that Exile Literature is one of the trunks of Portuguese Literature of the 20th century, the research is based on the experience of exile, taken not only as a component of the biography of most of the authors studied, but, above all, as an aesthetic figuration and structuring perspective of their works. Exile distinguishes both an objective condition and a discursive mark of authors such as Jorge de Sena, José Rodrigues Miguéis, Ferreira de Castro and José Saramago.
